Bio
Daryna Onyshko is widely recognized for her dedication to involving youth in democratic processes worldwide. Her current role at the Community of Democracies (CoD) sees her shaping the youth perspective in international dialogues, not only within the CoD but also at the U.N. and the South Korea-led Summit for Democracy. Formerly, as President of the European Democracy Youth Network, she represented over 700 members, oversaw 23 chapters and delivered more than 20 speeches annually, influencing the narrative of democracy in Europe. At the National Democratic Institute, she played a crucial role in training young political candidates across Central Europe and managed a religious freedom program. Committed to Ukraine's democratic development, Daryna aspires for its integration into the E.U., while also fostering a global society that embraces the insights of youth.

1º panel: Tech, Youth and Democracy
This panel will explore how younger generations are engaging socially and politically through technology, how they are innovating in their social activism and how they are addressing the challenges of disinformation in Europe. The panel will approach these issues from a risk-opportunity logic, trying to detect which factors may help to tip the balance on the side of strengthening democracy.
