Bio

Artan Islamaj is the Head of Campaigning at Operation Libero. Founded in 2014, Operation Libero is a Swiss civil society organization working to preserve and advance liberal democracy by campaigning and advocating for an open, progressive and just (Swiss) society. Current campaigns include two progressive initiatives: one wants to tackle the deadlocks in relations between Switzerland and the EU and the other addresses a fundamental democratic challenge in Switzerland, namely the fact that currently one quarter of its population is excluded from the political-decision-making process. Before joining Operation Libero, Artan finished his studies in Anglophone Literatures and Gender Studies.
